Un hombre se encuentra al borde de la muerte a causa de la picadura de una abeja. Su hija, una joven intrépida, emprende una carrera contrarreloj para encontrar el antídoto que pueda salvar la vida de su padre.
Para ello cuenta con la ayuda de un experto en abejas que tiene la certeza de que al tratarse de una especie insólita, alguien ha provocado su expansión. Mientras tanto se suceden con más frecuencia las muertes a causa de estas alarmantes picaduras.
